Casa Mar Turquesa is a tranquil vacation retreat near Isla Mujeres' Punta Sur, sitting high above the cliffs overlooking the turquoise sea of the Caribe. It offers two spacious and comfortable Studio Suites with unsurpassed ocean views through the sliding glass doors opening onto the balcony above, or the patio below. Each Studio sleeps one or two persons in queen bed, has a full kitchen, traditional Mexican tile in the bathrooms, satellite TV and sitting/dining area.
A common outdoor living area set among tropical gardens provides more space in which to enjoy the island ambiance. A plunge pool on the patio is available to both Studios, as is a Palapa dining area, with grill for outdoor cooking.
The Punta Sur area is noted for the dramatic cliffs which are perfect for hiking and taking in the splendor of the ocean, the profusion of local lilies and flowering cactus, and the abundant bird population....don’t miss the antics of the many pelicans as they swoop down and dive bomb into the ocean to fish! Garrafon Park’s attractions are close by, including the Mayan ruin at the tip of the island, the Mayan Village and the Park itself. Also within easy walking distance is Garrafon de Castilla, a more casual and less expensive way to enjoy the fine snorkeling and swimming on the Bay side (40 peso entry fee).
