Northwards off Isla Mujeres lies the natural paradise of Contoy, just a short day cruise
across the Turquoise waters of the Mexican Caribbean. Near the island’s southern tip lies
the Great Maya reef, the worlds second longest reef system which is also home to a
multitude of marine life. Contoy is a special biosphere reserve with more than 70 species
of birds and other flora and fauna that are protected by the Mexican Government.
